Back to School… Let IEL Help You Find EARLY LEARNING RESOURCES

  • We have improved access to early learning resources! To find resources by Topic, please go to http://illinoisearlylearning.org/cgi-bin/iel/searchiel.asp. Search by Keyword or by Illinois Early Learning Areas, State Goals, or Benchmarks. You can then limit your search by language and select a specific learning area or benchmark.
  • Are you aware that the curriculum-based IEL Tip Sheets have related Illinois Early Learning Benchmarks highlighted at the top of each Tip Sheet? For example, when you click on the Tip Sheet Natural Illinois: Rock On! (http://illinoisearlylearning.org/tipsheets/rocks.htm), you will find… “A wide variety of rocks and minerals are as close as your backyard, local park, schoolyard, or driveway. Studying rocks with preschoolers can help meet Illinois Early Learning Benchmarks 11.A.ECa, 11.A.ECb, 11.B.ECa, and 12.C.EC.”
