FinkAsk an Expert!

  • Is it possible for a 4- or 5-year-old child to have ADHD?
  • How can I tell if very active behavior is outside the range of what is considered “normal” for young children?
  • How can I calm down my son who has a terrible temper, gets mad all the time, and cries a lot?
These are just a few of the questions answered by Dale Borman Fink, assistant professor in the Education Department at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts. Dr. Fink has been answering questions on Do Problem Behaviors Live inside Young Children? or Do We Create Problems through Our Program Design? Questions were received from November 1 until November 21, 2006. His answers will be provided through November 30.
