Amanda has a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, held an NIMH Postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA, and taught at the University of Missouri Columbia as an assistant professor.
She is now studying children's sibling relationships firsthand while raising her own children - Toby (3 years) and Joshua (4 months) with her husband in Solana Beach, California.
